AS WE GATHER
God is faithful! This enduring word of comfort is the Christian's source of hope, especially during times of remorse, personal difficulty or loss. It is a faithfulness that is not dependent upon our own. Rather, it is God's unchanging grace, proclaimed in His Word, drenching us in the waters of Baptism, and nourishing us with sacred bread and wine. Because God's faithfulness is unwavering, we are grounded firmly in His mercy, relying not on our own endeavor to “buck up under it,” but leaning on and into His strength. Yes, all hardship can be endured. Christ’s death and resurrection proved it. Welcome to His strength. Welcome to an enduring faith.
